The Elmedia Player Library includes all media files and folders that you added from shared computers and file servers on your network, including Mac and Windows computers that have file sharing turned on and servers that use SMB. The Library provides a single aggregated view of multiple folders and their contents. It stores references to your files, rather than the files themselves, meaning that none of them are actually copied to your Apple TV. You can think of the Library as a collection of shortcuts to files stored elsewhere.
While you can’t edit photos and videos on your Apple TV, you can edit them on a computer and have those changes automatically updated on your Apple TV.
For detailed information on adding files to the Library, please refer to this user guide.
