General tab
View files with: View files using either the built-in file viewer (default), QuickLook, or Preview.
Edit files with: Choose the text editor to be used when you open a file for editing.
Application:
Go root when changing drive: When disabled, Commander One remembers the path when you change disks and you will get back to the same folder when you switch back to the disk. If enabled, you will always go to the root folder when you change disks.
Use + on numeric keypad only for files selection: Select only files using Num+ (Select item) and Cmd+Num+ (Select All), otherwise both files and folders will be selected.
Calculate folder size on Space: Show the size of folders when clicking the space bar.
Move to trash: If enabled, an item will be deleted to Trash when using the Delete keyboard key, or F8, or the Delete button in the lowest right corner of the app's window. When this option is enabled and you click Shift+F8, a file will be deleted permanently. When this option is disabled, an item will be deleted permanently.

Size in header and footer:
You can configure the file size display: bytes or dynamic (bytes, kB, MB, depending on the size). The header displays the free and total space for disks and the free and total RAM for processes. The footer displays in succession: the size of marked files, the size of all files in the current folder, the number of marked files, the total number of files in the current folder, the number of marked folders, and the total number of folders.
Options:
Always show tab bar: Make Commander One always display the tab header when there is only one tab.
Show folders on top: Folders will be listed first.
Size in columns: Show sizes dynamically, depending on the file size, or in bytes.
Full mode:
Show full file name: Make Commander One show the file name with the extension after it. Otherwise, the file extension will be shown in the Extension column.
Use thumbs in full mode: Show a thumbnail preview of a file instead of an icon in full mode of Commander One.
Brief mode:
Use thumbs in brief mode: Show a thumbnail preview of a file instead of an icon in a brief mode of Commander One.
Column width size: Adjust column width here.
Hotkeys
Here you can see the list of Commander One's hotkeys and assign your own hotkeys for certain actions.
Ignore system settings for F1-F12: Disable the functionality of Function keys, so that you could map specific keyboard shortcuts to F-Keys.
Appearance
File list font: set the font for the file list.
Preview font: set the font for the internal file viewer.
Color presets: set the color scheme here (available in PRO Pack mode only).
Background color: the color of the background file panels (default: white).
Alternate background color: enable alternate row coloring in the file panels.
Text color: the color of the text in the main window (default: black).
Cursor color: the color of the frame around the current file name.
Cursor text color: the color of the text inside the frame around the current file name.
Selection color: the color of the selected file and of the current directory in the tree.
Text in selection color: the color of the text for the selected file when clicking the space bar.
To reset to defaults, choose the Basic preset from the drop-down list.
Extensions
Enable or disable the corresponding extensions here. There are several types of extensions that can show drives for devices and services as well as show custom right-click menu options and status badges.
Show drives for: allows you to activate or disable extensions that show drives for the devices.
Show custom right-click menu options and statuses: allows you to activate or disable extensions that show custom right-click menu options and statuses. These are Finder extensions of other applications installed on the user's Mac (for example, Dropbox or Google Drive). The user can also find their list in System Preferences->Extension->Finder Extensions.

Archive tool
Default compression format: choose the preferred compression format (.zip, .7z, .txz, .tlz, .tbz, .tgz, .tz).
Compression method: set the compression level (the higher the compression level, the slower the compression/extraction speed).
Encoding: set a password for your archives (available for .zip and .7z only).
7zip also provides encoding of file names - users will be required to supply a password to see the file names contained within the archive.
Terminal
Font: the font of the text in Terminal.
Color presets: set the color scheme here.
Text color: the color of the text in Terminal (default: white).
Background color: the color of Terminal background (default: black).
Selection background color: the color of the background for the selected text.
Selection text color: the color of the selected text.
Cursor background color: the color of the cursor.
Cursor text color: the color of the text inside the cursor.
Cursor type: choose the type of cursor.
Blinking: when enabled the cursor will blink in the Terminal.
To reset to defaults, choose the Basic preset from the drop-down list.
Advanced
Here you can set what items should be saved when you exit Commander One. You can also make confirmation window invoke each time you are going to delete empty folders, change file extension or drag and drop files.
